How to use & uses for Rhassoul Clay

Rhassoul clay is known for its cleansing and healing properties as well as its ability to provide the body with the vitamins and minerals that it needs. When it is mixed with water, the particles within the clay expand, turning it into a gel like substance. The gel works by binding to dirt and excessive oil to absorb and cleanse without removing natural oils from the skin.

To get the most from the clay once it is mixed the water it is best to mix it so it takes on the consistency of a creamy paste. This can then be massaged into the hair or skin. However, it has many more uses when mixed with other ingredients.

Preparation of Rhassoul Clay

Instructions below are for a face mask. Prepare your Clay Mask Mixing Set or find a mixing bowl, spoon, face brush and a cloth that you already may already have in your home. It is advisable to use non metal bowls, spoons and other tools because your clay mask will be less effective.

Step 1: Add 1 table spoon of powder (about 20 millilitres) to a bowl.

Step 2: Add warm water so it slightly covers the powder. You can also use Rose Water instead of water for a powerful detox mask.

Step 3: Let it absorb for about 3-5 minutes, then mix to a clay paste.

Step 4: Apply the clay paste onto your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes.
Note: Keep the clay mask damp by applying water with wet fingers or with a water spray.
Tip: Sit back, turn off your social network pages, listen to relaxing music and sip some tea. Life is always at a fast pace, take some time for yourself.

Rinse your face with warm water. Pat dry, and moisturize with organic oils such as Argan oil.

Hi Sam, you would need about 70 – 120ml of powder for a whole body mask. This would be less than half of our Rich Mineral Powder bottle.
