Benefits & About Rhassoul Clay

What is Rhassoul Clay?

Rhassoul clay consists of high quality nutrients that make it perfect for external use. If the clay remains dry it will last forever. The clay is taken from the Atlas Mountains which are located in Morocco and it is commonly use in spas where it is applied to the hair and skin. It is called by other names such as Ghassoul Clay, Red clay and Red Moroccan Clay but it can only be found in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. It is created by a mixture of geothermal changes as well as volcanic activity.

This clay comes untreated and it is often dried naturally. It has silky texture to it and this helps to smooth out skin tone and reduce the look of blemishes. It is excellent at nourishing the skin and preventing the number of breakouts which means that many people choose to use it as part of their daily routine.

It can be used as a soap and shampoo and clinical studies have been carried out where Rhassoul clay has been found to enhance skin elasticity, skin tone, reduce blackheads and blemishes and also help to ease dry skin. In a similar way to Bentonite Clay, when it is added to water it swells. Can also be used with Rose Water instead of just water to make a powefull detox mask.

However, it does have a higher silica and magnesium content which makes it beneficial to the skin. This means that it can be used safely on a daily basis as it cleanses the skin without removing the essential oils. The clay comes with a negative charge which makes it perfect for removing blackheads and impurities from the skin. It is also commonly used as a make-up remove or all-purpose face wash.

What are the Benefits?

Skin nourishing Rassoul is packed full of minerals that all help the skin in a number of ways. It's main minerals are Silica and Magnesium. Silica helps to aid collagen production and is often used in many different skin creams. Magnesium is an important mineral and it is absorbed easily by the skin. It helps to protect against free radical damage that is the cause of wrinkles. It can also help to reduce inflammation as a result of acne and allergies. Rhassoul healing clay mask

An Acne Treatment and Detox Treatment

Rhassoul works through an ionic exchange and the particles within the clay obtain a negative charge. This helps the clay to draw out positively charged impurities from the skin. This helps to unblock pores and improve circulation while leaving behind the beneficial minerals. For oily skin it is the perfect treatment because it is highly absorbent.

Exfoliating, Tightening and Smoothing

The clay contains small particles that help to exfoliate the skin. This works by removing dead skin cells and also by closing up and tightening the pores. If it is used regularly it can help to achieve smooth skin that has a complexion that is evenly toned.

Great for Sensitive Skin

For centuries, Rhassoul clay has been tried and tested which means that it is known to be suitable for all skin types. If you have sensitive skin, the minerals within the clay can help to reduce inflammation without causing irritation or drying out the skin.

Shampoo

The properties within Rhassoul clay make it perfect for using as a shampoo. It can remove dirt and grease easily but it also works to cleanse the scalp with minimum irritation. For those who like to use natural hair products this is a product that contains no un-wanted chemicals making it a popular choice.

Environmentally friendly in every way

Rhassoul clay is a natural product and is extracted from deposits in the Atlas Mountains. It has not been exposed to contaminants in the same way other clays are. This makes this a product that is completely natural and it contains no parabens, palm oil and surfactants. This makes it suitable to release into the environment.
